Council reviews fiscal report; FY2026 operating budget cut to $50,000, 210 fund holds $74,000

At its July 8 meeting the Community Corrections Planning Council reviewed expenditures for April through June 2025 and the council heard a fiscal outlook for the coming year.
Debbie Cox presented the report, saying the program has spent $31,000 of the FY2025 $80,000 budget, leaving $48,000 remaining. She told the council the proposed operational budget for FY2026 has been reduced to $50,000. Cox also reported a separate 210 fund (funded by offender payments and restricted for uses such as drug testing) has a $74,000 balance; combining available and restricted funds yields $110,000 total resources, though the 210 fund cannot be used for general operations. The council approved the budget report by motion (moved by Jacob McHughes, seconded by Gary Gage).
