County Administrator Lee Engfer delivered a multi-item report to the Buffalo County Board on May 18 covering meetings, facilities and personnel.
Engfer told the board the Wisconsin Counties Association district meeting is June 18 in Warrens and that an employee health insurance group has been meeting; a staff survey on health coverage will be distributed. He reported a chiller unit had stopped working, has a temporary repair, and the county will solicit bids for replacement parts. Engfer also said a lease was signed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in February and that the USDA has broken ground on a new facility, but the county has not received notice that the USDA is leaving any existing facility. Finally, Engfer said there have not been any official applicants for the District 14 vacancy, though one person may be interested.
The board recorded these items for informational purposes; no board action was taken on the chiller, lease or vacancy at this meeting.
