The Board approved the Ottawa County Voucher Report dated May 6, 2026, authorizing payment of $613,771.41 and authorizing the County Auditor to issue warrants. Commissioner Donald A. Douglas moved the voucher approval and Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler seconded; the motion passed 3–0. The minutes note that attached Then-and-Now vouchers were also approved and that voucher reports are available for public review per the records retention schedule.
The Board also voted to enter executive session at 9:12 a.m. to discuss employment of a public employee(s) under ORC Section 121.22(G)(1); the Board returned to open session at 9:53 a.m. Later on the agenda the Board received a bi-monthly update from Job & Family Services covering public assistance, child support, adult and protective services, and workforce development, and a Soil & Water Conservation update that listed events and program activity including a successful audit, the 'Day on the Wild Side' event, an intern hire, Great Lakes Restoration bus tour on Sept. 10, Toussaint River dredging, Mehlow Ditch construction and County Fair dates July 18–26, 2026. The meeting adjourned at 11:17 a.m.
