Town staff presented an emergency repair quote of $22,960 from Water Worx Services to fix two failing storm drains and associated culvert damage, and advised that a budget amendment would be needed to cover the cost.
Public Works Director Wesley Blount described the work and urged a permanent repair. "This company would permanently fix the issue, build the boxes, cement and pave so it wouldn't happen again," Blount said. Mayor Pro Tem Marc Powell asked whether the situation endangered anyone and requested that staff obtain additional quotes; the board voted 4–1 to table the request pending further estimates.
