Commission unanimously awards high-school video contest first place to sole entrant

"I make a motion to award her 1st place," Commissioner Ryan McCray said before the motion was seconded and carried in a unanimous roll-call vote. Commissioners praised the video's inclusion of oral history, its production quality and historical framing; Carlisle Dorsey said the entrant did a "fairly decent job" given limited material, while other commissioners called the work "very clean" and "historically accurate."
The commission conducted a roll-call vote that recorded unanimous support; staff will notify the winner and present the video at a future meeting. No amendments or conditions were attached to the award.
