The Board of Commissioners approved Bid 13-2026 from Current Mechanical for $540,000.00 to replace a boiler at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. CJ Steigmeyer, assistant manager at the Coliseum, briefed commissioners that the new boiler is expected to last more than 25 years and cannot be moved or reused elsewhere in the facility, which contains seven boilers in total.
Commissioner Ronald W. Turpin moved approval and Commissioner Therese M. Brown seconded; the motion carried 3-0. The county will proceed with contract execution and scheduling for the replacement to support facility operations.
