The ordinance directs town collection be limited to residential accounts and clarifies that certain commercial and contractor-generated materials are the property owner's responsibility. The board did not attach a separate effective date at the meeting; implementation steps and enforcement details were left to staff to administer under existing procedures.
The board's action follows staff recommendations intended to reduce confusion about which materials the town will remove and to align local practice with landfill requirements. The item was listed under New Business and was approved without recorded opposition.
