District administrators announced an informational forum for Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the district library for area superintendents and community members to discuss a proposed Facility Sales Tax Referendum.
According to the minutes, the sales tax would move some burden from property taxpayers and the funds could be used only for facilities, school resource officers (SROs), social workers and psychologists. The forum is informational only; a flyer provided by ROE was distributed to families and staff.
The board discussed the referendum as part of facility and resources planning and listed it among items under Partnerships and Safety. No vote on the referendum occurred at the Feb. 18 meeting; the forum is intended to share information ahead of any formal ballot action.
