Jason, the county’s ride program manager, said at the INR meeting that he will retire at the end of the month after about seven and a half years with the county. He thanked colleagues, noted friendships formed on the job and reflected on key program milestones.
"Previous administrators, Steve Gosnell, forwarded to me 7.5 years ago. It was the starting of the ride May 3, my 1st day," Jason said, summarizing his tenure. County staff and members thanked him for his work on projects and for being a reliable resource, and the chair and other members expressed appreciation for his service.
Officials credited Jason with helping complete and start projects tied to the county’s ride program and with advising on engineering matters. The committee observed a moment of thanks and goodwill; no formal action accompanied the retirement announcement.
