The Fox River Grove Village Board of Trustees approved a redevelopment agreement with FRG Partners LLC for Block B at its July 7, 2026 meeting after a brief discussion about how parking spaces for the project will be handled. The motion to approve the agreement, subject to the Village Attorney's final review, passed on a 5–1 roll-call vote.
Trustee Steve Knar moved to approve the redevelopment agreement; Trustee Andrew Migdal seconded. Trustee Knar asked the developer, Rick Filler, whether parking spaces would be sold as part of the project. Mr. Filler responded, "they would not be sold, but rather leased," and said leasing offers options for tenants who do not own vehicles. The roll call vote recorded Trustees Curtiss, Hester, Knar, Migdal and Wall as "yes" and Trustee David Joseph as "no." The motion passed.
The minutes record the approval was conditioned on the Village Attorney's final review and authorization. No dollar amounts, timelines for construction, or final parking counts were included in the minutes beyond the public request for 170 stalls noted during public comment. The Board did not amend the agreement on the floor; staff will carry the agreement forward for final legal review.
