Board approves $245,258 vehicle lift to replace end-of-life unit

The City of Danbury Board of Awards unanimously approved a requisition to purchase and install a Rotary Solutions vehicle lift from Vehicle Service Group, LLC for $245,258.06 under the vendor's General Services Administration (GSA) federal contract. Purchasing Agent Charles J. Volpe presented the Equipment Maintenance Department request during the Aug. 5 meeting.
Superintendent of Public Services T. Nolan, who moved the award, said the lift will replace one of two units that have reached end of life and that the department plans to budget for replacement of the second lift next fiscal year. The motion was seconded by Director of Finance D. Garrick and carried unanimously.
