Bensenville board extends police dispatch agreement with Addison through April 2028

The Village of Bensenville Board of Trustees voted May 20 to extend its police dispatch services agreement with the Village of Addison through April 30, 2028.
"This is the contract that we have with the Village of Addison to provide dispatch services," the village manager said during discussion, noting that "the state law requires that we belong to 1 of the 2 consolidated dispatch centers in the county" and that the village had chosen Addison because it has performed well. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote with six yes votes.
The extension keeps Bensenville aligned with the county's consolidated dispatch framework, according to the manager's explanation. Trustees did not request any amendment to the term during the meeting.
