Wyoming County Youth Bureau secures preschool services contracts and funds Youth Leadership Academy

Members authorized an interdepartmental contract with Wyoming County Community Health Systems for Preschool Related Services for the 2026–2027 budget year (MUNIS CONTRACT #3862) and separately authorized a professional service contract with Kristina Johnson for Preschool Related Services (MUNIS CONTRACT #3869). The minutes show motions carried with five ayes and two absences for those authorizations.
The committee also accepted revenue support from the Wyoming County Business Education Council for at least $8,800 for the Youth Leadership Program and approved a walk‑in appropriation of $5,000 from the RURCO Rural Communities Grant to administer the Youth Leadership Program (administration 07/01/26–12/31/26; program dates 07/01/26–06/30/27). Members flagged an Early Intervention staffing concern: the county currently has one EI coordinator while state rules require two; staff are working with WCCH and HR to address the shortage.
