Licht also said the ordinance would change bee keeping from a conditional-use permit to an administrative permit and increase the allowed number of chickens to six while requiring chickens be kept in a coop or run.
Licht noted public comments had focused on data-center provisions, and staff removed that section from tonight's adoption so it can be reviewed further in a work session before the end of the year. Council moved and approved the ordinance amendments as presented with specified exceptions (sections pulled for later discussion); the planning commission had voted 5–0 to recommend the changes.
