EDA approves $500 donation to Chamber for 2025 fireworks

“...it is before the EDA today as to consider a $500 contribution towards the Chamber of Commerce's fireworks,” staff said. A board member moved to approve the $500 donation and another member seconded. The board voted by voice and the motion passed; the chair announced “Motion passes. $500.”
Board discussion noted the EDA and other local groups (fire department and neighboring EDAs) have been asked to contribute; staff said scheduling changes (moving the polka party start time) were made to reduce conflicts with fireworks viewing. The approved payment will come from the EDA’s budgeted event support line.
