Committee approves DA appointment and multiple personnel reclassifications

On May 12 the Steuben County Administration Committee approved a set of personnel actions, including reclassifying a currently filled Confidential Secretary in the District Attorney's Office to Special Assistant to the District Attorney (Management Grade F) and appointing that position above mid-point at Management Grade F, Step 11 with a stated salary of $75,518.
"RECLASSIFYING ONE CURRENTLY FILLED CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY, MANAGEMENT GRADE E, TO SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY, MANAGEMENT GRADE F, IN THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE," the motion to reclassify was recorded as made by Scott J. Van Etten and seconded by K. Michael Hanna; the minutes record the subsequent appointment motion and a 5-0 vote.
The committee also approved reclassification in Emergency Services/E-911 of an Account Clerk-Typist (CSEA Grade D) to Senior Account Clerk-Typist (CSEA Grade I); reclassification in Social Services of a Senior Clerk (CSEA Grade E) to Senior Typist (CSEA Grade F); and creation of two positions in the Office for the Aging—a Receptionist (CSEA Grade A) and an Aging Services Aide (CSEA Grade B). Each personnel motion carried 5-0 according to the minutes. Salary ranges for grades and the appointed step for the DA position are recorded in the minutes.
