Sheriff's Office representative Jason Butler confirmed the staffing request matched the committee's recommendation. Commissioner Ivey moved to incorporate the proposed amendments into the FY27 budget and Commissioner O'Neal seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioners noted the part‑time allocation caps the funds available but does not by itself limit hiring headcount. The board asked staff to return with any necessary implementation details at the August 3 meeting.
