Reentry program reports expansion, new $1 million SMART reentry grant with Echo Housing

"We received, at your, authorization and permission, we received a smart reentry grant of 1000000 dollars where we partner with Echo Housing Organization," Rhodes said, adding that the award will expand housing options especially for women who previously had limited placements.
Rhodes provided 2024 program figures: 327 women evaluated for substance use disorders; 304 left jail with a substance‑use‑disorder release plan; 121 received in‑custody mental‑health counseling; 23 were diverted into treatment and 21 into housing. He also invited council members to a reentry simulation on April 15 to experience program activities and support services.
