County schedules public meeting on proposed Medary Township diversion channel and transmission advisory kickoff

Brookings County Development Director and Emergency Manager Robert Hill told the Planning & Zoning Commission on June 4 that the County Drainage Board will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 8 at 6:00 PM to discuss the proposed Medary Township/Big Sioux River Project — Diversion Channel Dike.
Hill also announced that the Brookings County 765 kV Transmission Line Advisory Committee will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, June 10 at 9:00 AM. Both meetings were presented as upcoming opportunities for public input; no policy decisions or votes on those projects occurred at the June 4 Planning & Zoning meeting.
