Mount Carroll council approves minutes, authorizes $35,499.95 in payments

The Mount Carroll City Council approved minutes from its Dec. 9, 2025 regular meeting and the Dec. 4, 2025 Planning Commission meeting, and authorized payment of 47 accounts payable totaling $35,499.95.
Alderman Jeff Elliott moved to approve the minutes; Alderman Jody Wolber seconded. The roll call vote recorded five yes votes and one absence; the motion carried. Elliott later moved to authorize payment of the 47 accounts payable; that motion also passed on a 5–0 roll call with one absence. The meeting packet listed the city’s financial report balance as $4,405,552.86.
The council’s routine approvals closed out the consent portion of the agenda and cleared the way for several items of new business, including a personnel action and community donations that followed later in the meeting.
