The court approved a change order to the Jimline Road expansion project to address safety concerns after inspection found excess excavation; the change adds about 300 feet of additional ditch work and extra caliche for areas cut too low. Public‑works staff said the work is within the current project budget and the change order was approved 5–0.
In a separate capital request, IT staff asked to replace end‑of‑life batteries in a large uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that protects servers in the Law Enforcement Center (LEC). Staff said the batteries will be put into rotation and are expected to last about 5–8 years; the court approved the equipment purchase using capital equipment funds and confirmed contingency funding sources if needed.
The construction pay application No. 4 from Holmes Construction in the amount of $422,495.10 for ongoing road work was also approved; staff said one additional payout remains before final closeout of the contract.
