During the public-comment portion of the April 15 meeting, four speakers addressed the board on several topics. Natalie Thompson spoke regarding respect toward staff; Erin Minh raised concerns about the finance committee selection; John Jones spoke about the National Junior Honor Society; and Amanda Montgomery urged greater transparency, criticized the finance committee selection process, and expressed concerns about class sizes.
Board members received the comments during the public-communication portion of the agenda; no formal board action on the public comments was recorded that evening. The finance committee’s new community members were later identified during committee reports as Debi Blank and Adam Thorns.
