Staff member described capital needs and timing: the elementary-school window project will be placed on the life-safety plan so it can be funded from the Fire Life Safety account, a $100,000 contingency is included for the junior-high boiler if it fails, and plumbing work at the high school is nearing completion and is covered in the FY26 budget.
The presenter said the window work likely will not be completed during the school year and may be scheduled for the following summer; regarding the boiler, staff noted previous rebuilding work and that officials are comfortable it should last another year but budgeted the contingency as prudence. "I'm not gonna have windows replaced with kids here," the staff member said when describing scheduling constraints.
