Mayor Ryan told the board the village opened bids for a new fire department ambulance and chassis and found no submissions. "We did not get any for either," he said, adding that nobody picked up or dropped off bid packets.
Officials said the chief has been notified and the village will re‑solicit the procurement, likely at the end of the month. The mayor characterized the lapse as procedural and said he will bring it up again when the village reissues the solicitation.
There was no motion or vote on procurement during the meeting; the item was informational and board members asked staff to follow up with the fire chief and rebid schedule.
