The Village of Metamora Board of Trustees on June 2 approved the 2026–2027 fiscal budget by a 6–0 vote.
President Dawn Deeb presented the budget and Trustee Chris Bowers moved for approval, seconded by Trustee Merle Weyeneth. Following the vote, Attorney Brunton said an appropriation hearing will be required in July to finalize legal spending authorizations under the adopted budget.
The budget vote was unanimous among trustees present. The approval launches next steps including the July appropriation hearing and continued planning for capital projects discussed elsewhere in the meeting, including funding options for a planned public safety building.
