Commissioners approve $73K ARPA amendment to advance 4‑H facility planning

Mister Kiel told the court the county is winding down its SLFRF program and needs to reallocate remaining funds to projects before the federal deadline. He said the ARPA committee recommended amending an existing Potter County project agreement to add roughly $73,000 for conceptual planning for a new multi‑purpose 4‑H facility; demolition of the Bridal Building is already under contract and scheduled to be complete by the end of December.
"About $73,000 was estimated for inclusion in this project to help 4‑H to develop at least a conceptual document for what that new building is going to look like," Kiel said. He explained the urgency: unspent SLFRF funds must be obligated by the federal deadline or returned to the U.S. Treasury. The court moved, seconded and approved the amendment by voice vote (5–0).
