Hillsboro board hires teachers, assistants and approves volunteer coaches after executive session

Following an executive session on personnel matters, the Hillsboro CUSD 3 Board approved several employment actions on Aug. 12. Motions by Brian Patton, seconded by Kassie Greenwood, passed on roll call votes of 6-0 to employ Tabatha Dewitt and Dawn Bergman as bus aides; to employ Laura Rench as a part-time business teacher and technology support specialist; and to employ Steven Fenske as the junior high science teacher. The junior high social studies position received no action and remains open.
The board also approved Erin Gile, Audra Moore and Gloria Holt as teaching assistants and approved volunteer coaches Emma Dixon (girls tennis) and Carly Boden (junior high softball); all motions carried by roll call vote, 6-0. The Business Office and Human Resources will complete onboarding and required pre-employment checks per district policy.
