Superintendent McBrain presented the district's tentative FY26 budget and highlighted several revenue changes. She reported an approximately $1 million difference compared with the FY25 budget arising from the expiration of ESSR funds, Title II and the Teacher Vacancy Grant and noted the state is forecasting lower reimbursements for mandated categoricals; for example, private facility reimbursement was called out as dropping from about 80% to roughly 40%.
McBrain said Corporate Personal Property Replacement Tax receipts released that day added about $38,000 compared with the prior year. She reported total operating funds at $584,352 and told the board adjustments to the tentative budget will continue until final approval at the September meeting. The board set the FY26 budget hearing for Sept. 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
