Beaver County commissioners voted unanimously July 14 to designate the Don Roberts Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant as an Industrial Protection Area. Staff reported the application and said there were recommendation letters supporting the designation from both the Beaver County Ag Protection Advisory Board and the county Planning & Zoning Committee.
The plant was described in the record as a 60-acre operation outside Minersville. The public hearing drew no comments; Commissioner Tammy Pearson moved to approve the Industrial Protection Area and Commissioner Brandon Yardley seconded the motion, with the roll call vote recorded as unanimous. No conditions or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
