UMP Plus plans end Dec. 31, 2025; hearing-aid coverage moves to 100% of allowable amount in 2026

Larry Kate announced that UMP Plus plans (Puget Sound High Value Network and UW Medicine Accountable Care Network) will end on Dec. 31, 2025. He warned members currently enrolled in UMP Plus that "they must need medical plan election during open enrollment" or they will be defaulted to UMP Classic effective 01/01/2026.
He also highlighted a hearing-aid change for 2026: frequency will be stated in months (36 months) and payment will shift for affected plans to "100% of allowable amount," replacing the numerical $3,000-per-ear reference used in 2025 for some plans. Kaiser-specific guidance remains: in-network providers only and frequency at 36 months per ear.
