Minidoka County commissioners approved a design direction for the misdemeanor probation office remodel on July 6, endorsing masonry features on the west elevation. Commissioner Schaeffer moved to "brick and pillars going all the way to the top on the west side, that will look like a beam support and if needed do the south side;" Commissioner Orton seconded and the motion carried. Commissioner Orton was assigned to work on the design.
The remodel discussion included input from Procurement Official Faux, Buildings & Grounds Official Thomson, Building & Zoning Official Nay, Director Tate and IT staff, who updated the board on tasks and timelines. The recorded motion focuses the immediate design work on the west side while allowing for a south-side option if required.
