Coyote Ridge bidding set for May with council review in June; park additions shift schedule

Parks and Recreation Director Marcus Graves updated the advisory board that Coyote Ridge Park is moving toward procurement: construction documents and 100% drawings are expected to be ready for bid around May 11, with the recommended bidder presented to city council on June 23. "We are going to bid we should be going to bid around May 11, and then the vendor who, the top bid will be presented to council on the June 23 meeting," Graves said.
Graves told the board geotechnical work is complete and that an added baseball field and vault toilets required specification adjustments that backed the schedule up roughly two weeks. He said staff coordinated with the city engineer on construction plans and that the project timeline was adjusted to ensure the Food Truck Frenzy event can still be accommodated at the park before major construction begins.
Staff agreed to place construction drawings and timelines on a future agenda so new board members can review staging and budget details. The board will receive updates as bidding progresses and as staff prepares the recommendation for council consideration.
