Winnsboro ISD trustees certify May 2 trustee election returns

President Brandon Green called the Winnsboro Independent School District Board of Trustees meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2026, saying the meeting had been properly posted under the Texas Open Meetings Act. "There is a quorum present and that this meeting was duly called and notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551," he stated. The board adopted the Order of Canvassing the Election Returns for the May 2, 2026 trustee elections by motion and recorded the action as carried 6-0.
Trustee Brian Busby moved to adopt the canvass order and Trustee Kristie Amason seconded the motion. The board also approved the consent agenda, including minutes from the April 20, 2026 regular meeting. District staff member Amber Kaltenhauser presented the monthly financial and bills report during the consent portion of the meeting.
