County Clerk Tammi Cox presented administrative policy updates and the draft 2026 budget during the meeting.
The Commission approved the Key Issuance Policy (#14) and the Retirement Policy (#13) by recorded motions (both passed 3-0). Cox presented a proposed 2026 budget based on 83.387 mills and said she will mail estimated tax notices before Aug. 10; she reminded the board that both the revenue-neutral rate hearing and the budget hearing are scheduled for Sept. 15. The Commission agreed to proposed changes to transfer schedules and line-item descriptions for employee benefits and insurance claims.
The Commission approved accounts payable totaling $126,690.42 and approved minutes for July 7 and July 21, 2025 (motions passed 3-0). The Commission also discussed an Arnold Group contract extension; the consensus was to defer payment until 2026.
