Ottawa County awards $205,591.78 contract to INA Alert for cameras, locks and dispatch renovations

Verkada’s all-web system was priced at $218,303.24. INA Alert offered two alternatives: a $246,409.47 quote that reused existing cameras and a full, non-cloud replacement quoted at $210,591.00.
County negotiators applied a 2% discount to the full non-cloud INA Alert quote, producing a final contract total of $205,591.78. Commissioners recorded that funding is available in the law enforcement capital outlay fund (noting $396,000 at year end 2024 plus a planned $91,000 transfer in 2025) and approved the contract by motion 3-0, with funds to be taken from the law enforcement capital outlay account.
Commissioners said they preferred a non-cloud, locally supported system and confirmed the door lock work and dispatch-area renovations were included in the award.
