Fire department reports 122 runs; fundraiser set for firefighter battling cancer

Reynolds said tax revenue has come in and the department is in good financial shape. He also reported that one firefighter has cancer and that a fundraiser will be held June 6 from 2–6 p.m. at the Hometown Tap to support that firefighter.
Alderman Rivas asked the council to keep families affected by the 89th Place fire in their thoughts. The council did not take formal action but recorded the report and announcement in the minutes and liaison outreach was requested to support the fundraiser.
