Police report: knocked-down light pole, planned D.A.R.E. graduation and National Night Out announced

The chief also previewed community programs: the D.A.R.E. program is progressing and graduation is scheduled for May 8, and the Police Department will team with the Fire Department for National Night Out on Aug. 4. He reported a traffic crash on Cicero that morning, saying a vehicle ran a light and struck a truck.
The council did not take immediate action in this item; staff indicated follow-up would include researching bollard legality and scheduling repairs to the light pole.
