Recreation staff told the board the season is winding down as area schools reopen, noting that pool hours were reduced (weekday closing moved earlier) and that only a final round of private swim lessons remains.
Staff said program registrations collected earlier in the season are being spent down as invoices arrive and that the department is preparing the field house for winter rentals by scheduling paint and maintenance projects. Staff also said some summer‑season employees (including lifeguards and concessions personnel) will transition to field‑house roles this winter.
The board thanked staff for the seasonal work and asked for the usual operational reports; staff said they will continue to provide updates as programs wrap up.
