The select board on Aug. 4 authorized the town administrator to negotiate an Owner's Project Manager (OPM) contract with Pomeroy Associates for the police station project after a building committee recommendation.
Select board representative MJ reported that the committee received four applications, interviewed three qualified firms and recommended Pomeroy Associates as the top choice. The board moved to authorize the town administrator to negotiate the contract and recorded a unanimous roll-call vote to proceed.
Why it matters: selecting an OPM is a key step to manage design and construction for the police station project and sets the town up to advance contract negotiations and schedule work on the station roof and broader project elements.
