Parks Commission approves agenda, maintains current parking rules and rental-house policy

The Calumet County Parks Commission met July 2, 2026, approved its agenda and prior minutes and acted on three motions concerning parking and county property. Citizen Member Ken Draheim moved to approve the agenda and later moved to decline adding boat-trailer parking signs at Brothertown Harbor; both motions were seconded by Supervisor Pete Stier and carried unanimously. The meeting began at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 9:06 a.m.
On a separate agenda item, Supervisor Patrick LaTour moved, and Citizen Member Judy Hartl seconded, a motion to make no changes in response to a Town of Brillion request to install "No Parking" signs along Main Street in Forest Junction. That motion passed 5-2, with Supervisor Kathleen Thunes and Citizen Member Judy Hartl recorded as voting Nay. Later in the meeting Director Adam B. Backus described recent changes to the county-owned rental house; Draheim moved to rent the house "as we have in the past," seconded by Stier, and that motion also carried unanimously. The motions and vote tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes.
