CLG annual report noted as late; contractor reports not yet paid

Board members raised concern about a late CLG (Certified Local Government) annual report and whether staff or board members should compile and submit it. Millward and staff said a draft exists and that the city had historically prepared the reports for board review; the report was due on January 31.
Elizabeth (S8), who is working on National Register nominations and the context study, told the board she "still hasn't received any payment for those contracts" and asked staff for an update. Erin (S6) said finance and staff are working on invoices and that an airport-terminal invoice and an arts-match invoice have been sent to the appropriate parties. Millward said he will resend his draft report materials and that staff will ask SHPO/Shippo about an extension if necessary.
Members agreed staff should circulate previous annual reports and the draft materials and treat the CLG report as an item for strategic planning. The board also discussed processes for ensuring promised follow-ups by staff are delivered in writing with agreed deadlines so volunteers are not delayed in carrying out preservation projects.
