Jay Leach, chair of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission, opened a special meeting on April 6, 2026, and moved the board into an executive session to consult with legal counsel. "We'll be convening the executive session to discuss with legal counsel matters relating to litigation to which the PDC is a party," Leach said, adding that public knowledge of those discussions could cause harm to the agency's legal or financial position.
Leach set the executive session to conclude at 10:30 and said he would announce any extension if necessary. After the closed session, Leach returned and stated, "The executive session has concluded. No decisions were made in that executive session, and this special meeting is now adjourned." The meeting was then adjourned. No votes, motions, or other formal actions were recorded during the public portions of the special meeting.
