On policy, staff presented CSBA July 2024 policy updates and the board moved to treat the packet as a first and final read. The board then voted to approve consent items that included the policy updates. "A new bill was just introduced and passed that are that puts severe consequences on the district that doesn't get them in by June 30," a trustee said while explaining why an extra May meeting is included in the calendar to satisfy LCAP/budget timing.
Trustees approved the consent agenda on a roll-call vote. Staff will return with a corrected calendar (dates listed as 2026) and any legal guidance about meeting labeling.
