PDC staff said the request involved contributions made using democracy vouchers in the city of Seattle and that the campaigns named in the record (the Daniel Strauss campaign and the Andrew "Issue Food" campaign in the transcript) provided written permission to modify their 2023 reports if the commission granted the request. "She indicated that the contributions she made were done using democracy vouchers, in the city of Seattle," staff told the commission during the presentation. The chair concluded that the redaction criteria were met and directed staff to take the steps needed to implement the modification.
