Board approves PUD amendment for Sexton Redevelopment that includes Hyatt Studio and proposed Hilton

Curtis told trustees the Sexton Redevelopment amendment would add two hotels and restaurant pads to Lots 2 and 3 and described the project as "a big one." He said the CDC recommended approval 5–0 and identified Hyatt Studio as the first confirmed hotel. "Hyatt Studio is the gonna be the 1st 1 being built," Curtis said, and staff indicated a proposed dual-brand Hilton was also expected to move forward.
Staff said both hotels are planned for roughly just under 80,000 square feet each, would include long-term-stay components, and that the project is expected to add roughly 300 parking spaces and "tens of millions" in private investment. The board approved the PUD amendment by roll call vote (6 yes).
