Gulf Road house and driveway hearing continued after questions about compensatory flood storage

The Conservation Commission continued review of a notice of intent for 0 Gulf Road (DEP file 15‑2830) after staff and the town peer reviewer raised concerns about the way compensatory flood storage volumes were presented.
Brandon Barry (Merrell Engineers) explained plans for driveway improvements, two 3x3 box culvert stream replacements and retention of compensatory flood storage to offset minor fill in the driveway area. Barry said the design provides "just under 200 cubic feet" of additional compensatory flood storage and described retaining walls and temporary construction impacts during culvert replacement.
Jennifer reported that the regulations require replacement of compensatory storage by elevation (a per‑elevation performance standard) and that the applicant’s table did not demonstrate an equivalent volume at each elevation band. She asked for a revised table and a cross‑section profile that shows how the proposed storage matches the existing volumes at the same elevations. Barry agreed the discrepancy appeared to be a presentation issue and committed to revising the table and providing the requested cross‑section. The commission voted to continue the hearing to the next meeting to allow the applicant to submit those revisions.
