Park committee monitors restroom mold, may refer issue to city

Committee members discussed a recurring mold problem in the park restrooms. Jennifer Whestine reported consulting another professional who did not recommend extensive work; Whetstine and Mary Winder inspected both restrooms and said they did not observe mold returning after areas were painted earlier this summer with Kilz.
The committee tabled immediate action but suggested bringing the matter to the City of Troy for an official determination. Members noted one option for long-term mitigation would be replacing the center wall with a material that is more mold-resistant if the city recommends further work; in the meantime, the committee will continue to monitor restroom conditions.
