The Loma Prieta Education Foundation (LTEF) reported progress on fundraising goals and community events. An LTEF representative (speaker 5) said the board is matching donations made through the coming Sunday up to $11,000, a move that helped the campaign clear tier‑1 priorities (K–8 art and a full‑time PE teacher).
The representative also reported the 30th annual jogathon raised the organization’s $45,000 target for next year’s priorities, citing sponsor and pledge support. LTEF announced a May 17 SIP for Schools event at Wright Station where the restaurant will donate proceeds, and said executive-board elections are scheduled for the June meeting.
Trustees thanked LTEF volunteers and noted the foundation’s work helps avoid drawing on district instructional dollars for extra programs.
