ETSB approves CentralSquare API to feed IamResponding; initial cost $4,840

The Iroquois County Emergency Telephone System Board on Jan. 6 approved adding a CentralSquare application programming interface (API) to allow computer-aided-dispatch (CAD) call data to push directly into the IamResponding service.
Eric Raymond, ETS Director, told the board that Watseka Fire requested the API to streamline CAD-to-IamResponding integration and that CentralSquare confirmed the service would work for all departments once the API is active. Raymond presented the cost breakdown: "$2,500 for the first year, a 5% accelerator maintenance charge each year thereafter, and $2,340 for project management, for a total initial cost of $4,840." The ETSB voted to approve the quote; the roll-call vote recorded ayes from Chairman Dave Morgeson, Warren Weber, Charles Alt, Todd Schippert and Jim Lehmkuhl.
Board members noted the possibility that other agencies may be asked to assist with ongoing costs in the future; the approved motion authorized the ETSB to proceed with the purchase while leaving open future cost-sharing discussions. The decision was recorded as an ETSB action and will be reflected in procurement records.
