Superintendent Chad Willis updated the board on facilities and legislative developments during the May 18 meeting.
Willis said demolition, fencing and wall installation have begun on the front lobby project and that the teacher lounge is being reconfigured; workers were scheduled to start putting up walls the following day. He noted a few remaining punch-list items for the baseball field that the district is tracking. Willis also told the board there is pending state legislation, HB3860, which he said would permit the district to extend its agreement with Paw Paw for more than two years if enacted.
No formal board action on construction or contracts was taken during the public portion of the meeting; the superintendent's update was informational and the board moved afterward to closed session for personnel and other matters.
